Obi Lori



I have no excuse for not posting this sooner.

One of my close friends, Sandra, released a collection of her personal recordings from 2007 through 2009 under the alias, Obi Lori. Nearly all of the songs were recorded by Sandra in her Paris apartment. She played all of the instruments, minus a few tracks which were collaborations with Space Equator (Obi Lori and Space Equator are also collaborators of Rarebit and will be featured on his upcoming release). Although the songs were recorded over the span of a few years, they are infused with something that I can't describe. There is a quality about the recordings that manages to reveal the subtle details of her intricate playing yet allow the textural elements to blend in perfectly with her soothing voice.

Rarebit did a great job on the artwork.

Sandra and I are going to be working together on a batch of songs which I hope to include on my next album. I will be releasing one of those songs in the following weeks on this website.
